BaseNote allows listeners to discover artists and directly invest in their success. As VP of Artist Partnerships, you’ll be responsible for initiating and developing BaseNote's relationships with artists and labels.
As an early-stage startup, BaseNote is looking for someone who is ambitious and self-directed. At this phase you will operate at all levels of the organization, managing your partnerships team of one. As we scale up, the role will evolve to focus on leading the partnerships business unit you’ve helped build.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage with artists and labels to secure mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Understand the needs and concerns of potential partners, and help guide product improvements.
- Follow up regularly with partners to keep them engaged.
- Critically evaluate the outreach pipeline; proactively suggest changes to improve efficiency and success rates.
- Identify leads and perform cold outreach (via email, LinkedIn, etc).
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of music industry experience in sales or partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Love of music.
Ideal qualifications:
- Experience growing and managing a partnerships team.
BaseNote is a fully remote company. US time zones required. Travel may be required for in-person meetings.
